Demockracy (Demo)
A downloadable game for Windows
Demockracy is a dark political power simulation. You start with a party, a handful of loyalists and no money. You end up somewhere you did not plan.
What this demo contains
This is a real slice, not a tutorial: you campaign, win seats, form a government, fill five ministries and pass laws through a parliament that does not owe you anything. It runs through a full term in power and ends after the second election.
Every MP has a price — and some prices come due later
A law needs 28 of 55 votes. When you are short, the whip room opens and you see the waverers and the opponents by name. Five ways in: persuasion, a promise, a bribe, a file on them, or a transfer that moves their seat to you permanently.
The promise is free today and a debt in 120 days — build in their region or watch their loyalty collapse. And years later, when the investigation gets serious, one of the MPs you bought may talk to the prosecutors. The date, the amount, who handed it over.
Three institutions are watching, and they forget at different speeds
The army, the courts and the street each carry tension from 0 to 100. All three cool down on their own — the street fastest, the army slowest. Every law you pass leaves a permanent residue in the army that you can never get below. Leave the Defence ministry empty and the barracks grow restless without any help from you.
Push any of them far enough and they act. The courts annul your laws or indict your ministers. The street rises. The army does what armies do.
The minister you raised can take your seats and leave
Ministers grow more powerful every month. A powerful minister does his job well — until his loyalty slips. Then he works for himself, then he feeds a rival, and finally he splits the party and walks out with your MPs. You made him strong.
Some doors only open one way
Constitutional amendments need two thirds of the house and can never be repealed. Banning a rival party is the only truly irreversible act in the game — and the army, the courts and the street all learn about it the same day.
- Seven languages: English, Türkçe, Deutsch, Español, Português, Русский, Français
- Windows, single player, no internet connection required
- The build is not code signed, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning on first run
The full game launches 16 November 2026 on Steam, and will be at Steam Next Fest in October. If this shows you something worth ruling, the wishlist is the thing that helps most.
